During recent years new legislation has been introduced to ensure the safe recycling of Battery operated products including toys. As a manufacturer Sum Sum International Ltd are commited to ensure all our products comply with this new legislation an with the help of you the direct consumer we can all endevour to recycle effectively and correctly.

ROHS (the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment)

This Directive bans the placing on the EU market of new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than agreed levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants.

Sum Sum Internation Ltd have detailed technical documents for each of its products and each componanent is tested to the Rohs standard prior to production to ensure we meet the standard set within the legislation.

WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment)

The WEEE Directive aims to reduce the quantity of waste from electrical and electronic equipment and increase its re-use, recovery and recycling. The WEEE regulations will see a network of collection points for WEEE established and householders should find it easier to recycle their old equipment.
